  • After the various infractions regarding this, I realize that I finally need to post this. This is a reminder and a warning for all current and future editors, regarding the "partner" / Significant other(s) parameter of the infobox.

A "significant other" is used to refer to someone that a person is/was with; a couple who is/was "together" and has/had an actual, ongoing mutual romantic/sexual/intimate relationship with.

    It should not contain:

    • One-night stands (e.g. Jace & Maia; Simon & Maureen)
    • One-time kisses or hookups (e.g. Simon & Camille; Si & Heidi; .... Clary & Sebastian -- you honestly can't tell me that you could think of these as S/Os)
    • Dated once or a couple of times
    • Subjective description of feelings: These are lines like "still in love with" or "pining for" or "in love with". The infobox is only for specific information. Perhaps some of you got the idea from the TVD or PLL wikis' relationship page infobox or relationship listings, but this wiki is formatted differently. :)

All these connections I listed above can instead be included under the characters' respective Relationships sections.

    The parameter can contain:

    • (Obviously) spouses: husband, wife, boyfriend, girlfriend. An S/O, basically.
    • A usual/more-than-once sexual companion ("friends with benefits" style, e.g. Jace & Kaelie; Meliorn & Izzy)

Upon making your first mistake regarding this, you will be linked to this thread. A block will be placed if you insist on redoing it. If I see that this brings no improvement, the parameter will once again simply be removed from the wiki altogether.

    • So if a user has just started on wiki and say they are only starting to read city of bones and they go onto edit the page and they get mistaken e.g Isabelle's page it says shes with Simon, and the readers are only up to the part where Simon doesn't even know Izzy. Will the user be sent the thread or be banned?

Honestly, someone who's not updated with the books or just started reading shouldn't even edit bits like those--I think it's common sense to know among themselves that they shouldn't. And they wouldn't be sent to this thread because it's unrelated to the point/purpose of this thread. They will be sent a message instead.

What do you mean by "CC"?

Also, in an effort to keep this thread on topic, if you have any more questions, do send them to just me on my message wall.
