You don't deserve this. But Shadowhunters need to feel what it's like to lose the ones that they love. My brother Samuel was all I had in this world... and now he's gone! Thanks to your brother, Jace.

–Kaelie to Max Lightwood, Those of Demon Blood

Kaelie is a Seelie Knight and former fling of Jace Herondale.

Biography

Kaelie has had multiple flirtation and sexual encounters with the Shadowhunter Jace Herondale.[1][2]

When her brother Samuel died during the attack on New York Institute where Jace accidentally activated the Soul-Sword,[3] Kaelie felt hopeless and angered, feeling that the Nephilim led them to a massacre. She sought revenge on Shadowhunters by killing a couple of them and staging their murders to look like they were done by different groups of Downworlders to instigate unrest and a potential war. She was eventually tracked down by fellow Seelie Knight Meliorn. Just as she was about to de-rune and kill the young Shadowhunter Max Lightwood, Meliorn arrived with Isabelle Lightwood and Raphael Santiago, and she was killed in the confrontation.[2]
