Scorpios is a type of demon that resembles a scorpion with its long, barbed, needle-tipped tail, which it whips around as a weapon with the speed of a striking cobra. It has a wrinkled face, the agile hands "of a huge monkey," rolling, yellow eyes, and teeth like broken needles. Scorpios demons hiss and move incredibly fast.
History
Aboard Valentine's ship on the East River in 2007, a Scorpios demon tried to attack Jace Herondale. Inquisitor Herondale threw herself in front of Jace to protect him and was impaled in the chest by its tail. Before she died, the Inquisitor managed to slice through the Scorpios' throat with her Marked knife, killing it.
