Makara are large deep-sea demons.
Makara are sea demons who lurk on the ocean floor and sometimes pull ships down. They have mottled green skin and tentacles covered in pink suckers. They appear as a part octopus, part slug creature with an enormous bee head. They don't come up on land, but on the occasions that they do, their remains only survive on land for one to two days before dissolving into a puddle of green-pink goo.
- Makara from Hindu mythology is a sea-creature depicted as a half-terrestrial animal in the frontal part and a half-aquatic animal in the hind part.
