Jonathan Wayland was the young son of Eliza and Michael Wayland.
History
Jonathan was a mere child when Valentine Morgenstern placed him and his father, Michael, in a fire at the Fairchild manor in order to fake both his and that of his son's deaths—Valentine took Michael's identity and raised Stephen Herondale's son as Jonathan in the Wayland manor in the countryside of Idris, leading everyone to believe that Michael and his son were still alive. When Jace was ten, he was sent to the New York Institute to be raised by the Lightwoods as the patriarch, Robert, was the godfather of Jonathan Wayland and the parabatai of Jonathan's father.[2]
