Arequipa is one of Magnus Bane's favorite cities in Peru.

In 1791, Magnus Bane coerced his friend Ragnor Fell into going to Peru with him. They visited Arequipa as one of their stops in their tour of Peru. There, a woman named Guiliana guided them through the rain forest, where Magnus narrowly escaped a dominant male spider monkey that went after him.

  • Due to his fondness of the city and the sillar rock from which the city buildings are made of, Magnus described Arequipa as a piece of the moon.
